    Hi race fans,
The old dust bowl located below the North Redwood hill directly behind the city dump and Ralph Beerninks junk yard will bring lots of stories. Racing in Redwood began right after the second World War with men like The Rebstock Brothers, Eddie Johnson, The Ahrens Brothers, Art Kenney, and many others. I will be sending photo’s of these pioneer racers who turned the rush of combat into the rush of racing.
There is not much left of the old track but if you do venture down the valley behind the city lagoons you can still find bits and pieces in the overgrown brush and trees. Today there are two homes at the site of the junk yard and dump that are owned by Ron Kohls and Ron Mannz.
