Frank Billmeier did everything he could to track Maddock down but came up short settling for second. Joe Huseby and Jake Groff rounded out the top four running order for the Bombers who ran their event without a caution.
Next on the docket was the IMCA Hobby Stock A-main. The event proved to have a hard time getting started before Worthington, MN driver Cory Probst moved his way forward from his eighth starting position to take the win. Neil Forsberg, who led early on, swapped the second spot with Justin Luinenburg several times before securing the second spot in the final stages of the event. Perhaps the run of the night was turned in by first time visitor, Corey Schreiber. Shreiber, who started in the fifth row, moved all the way up to fourth at the line. Redwood Speedway regular Nathan Gegner finished fifth.
The IMCA Northern Sport Mod A-main proved to be a dandy with Kyle Remus taking the early lead. A couple yellow flags halted action early on before Krohn moved up into the second spot disposing of Randy Fischer for position. For the next four laps Remus and Krohn rand side by side with Krohn on the bottom and Remus up top. With four laps remaining Krohn seized control of the point taking his first career win in the process. Thirteenth starter Matt Looft of Swea City, Iowa charged all the way to second at the line with Kyle Remus, Jordan Meine and Larry Revier also members of the top five finishing order.
Although Ben Wilhelmi led the opening lap it was Stephanie Forsberg taking her fourth straight victory in the IMCA Sport Compact finale. Kyren Porter, Jon Joehnck, Tori Groebner, Ben Wilhelmi all turned in top five performances as well for the Sport Compacts. Forsberg was also victorious in the division’s lone heat race.
The IMCA Stock Car A-main was dominated by Olivia, MN driver Michael Bruns. From there on out it was all Bruns as he scored his second win in as many weeks. Jim Richert, Matt Speckman, Dan Mackenthun and Redwood Falls’ own Bob Rebstock rounded out the top five for the Stock Cars who put on a great A-main event.
For the second week in a row Danube, MN driver Brandon Beckendorf took home the win in the IMCA Modified finale.
