Jackson Speedway Touring Series up next for Redwood Speedway

Redwood Falls, MN (June 30th, 2011) – The traveling stars of the Jackson Speedway Touring Series (JSTS) will invade Redwood Speedway Thursday, July 7th for their 2nd annual event during the Redwood County Fair in Redwood Falls, MN. Joining the 360 Sprint Cars this year will be IMCA Sport Mods, and Microsprints; which proved to be a fan favorite one year ago. For a Sprint Car fan, this event is a must see!

With the 4th Annual “Spring Sprint Car Nationals” taking place at Jackson Speedway in Jackson, MN (a makeup race from earlier this spring) just one night after the JSTS event at Redwood, expect to see some extra Sprint Cars on hand vying for the $1,200 to win top prize. Last year Liberal, KS traveler Tony Bruce Jr led wire to wire picking up his first ever Redwood Speedway win in the process. Area standouts Jody Rosenboom, Gregg Bakker, Lee Grosz, and Redwood Falls’ own Curt Lund rounded out the top five with 23 Sprints on hand for the ground-breaking event. Along with the 360 Sprint Cars, IMCA Sport Mods will also be a part of the program competing for a $500 to win top prize. The Microsprints, which debuted one year ago during the 1st Annual JSTS event at Redwood, will also be back running on the 1/8 mile track, as well.

Grandstand will be open to the public at 5:00, Pit Gates will be open to the racers at 5:00, Hot Laps at 6:30 will the First Green Flag to follow at 7:00.
